HOLIDAYS 2009

Both mine and Ryans families live close so we have to split our Holidays between the families. It is hard going back and forth but it is also nice to be able to spend time with both sides on the Holidays.

We have a tradition every year that we take all the kids and go see Santa vs. the Snowman in 3D at the Clarke Planetarium. it is a cute half hour show that the kids love.

Sledding

We decide to get in on the tradition of making Gingerbread houses like evryone else in the world does. But we didnt use real gingerbread we used graham crackers so they dont actually look like real house cause we couldnt get them to lean for the roof right so they kinda look like trailer park homes lol but it was really fun!!

Marley and Colton

Santa came!! I think I threaten my kids too much with coal, cause after Colton opened his presents he said "I didnt even get any coal Mom."

I love the fall, almost as much as I love winter. Here is how our Halloween/ fall went...

We went to the jazz game the night before Halloween and they were having a costume contest. The person with the best costume won season tickets. Ryan being the crazy guy he is was so excited and borrowed my brother Chris' Gumbi costume. They called him up on stage and he got pararde around during halftime. Unfortuantly he didnt win us those season tickets but we had lots of fun!

Getting the tonsils out

It was a sad but exciting day at the same time. Kyron had to get his tonsils out. He had huge tonsils which made him snore very loud and when he slept it sounded like he was breathing through a straw. So we felt like it was time and we had heard the recovery is easier the younger they are.
Ky was excited to get his tonsils out he knew he would get popsciles and lots and lots of ice cream. Here he is before he knew what was really going to happen. :(
Again pre surgery hence the smile

In the recovery room after a couple hours.
When Ky was done they let me back to see him, it was the saddest thing. When i walked in the nurse was hunched over him cuddling him, and she stood up and he saw me and just started bawling. The nurse said he just wanted to cuddle someone. He cried for a little while and we were finally able to calm him down and he fell asleep.
He wanted mom to stay right next to him and couldnt get enough of the slurpees

You can see his foot wrapped up, that is where they put in his IV :(

Originally they thought we would have to stay overnight becuase he was still kind of young, but they said he seemed to be doing well enough that they let us go that night.

Here is Dad and Colton helping Ky recover.
Ky recovered within about a week and a half to two weeks. He decided he didnt care so much for ice cream and popsicles and loved the slurpees. He couldnt get enough of those. So that is all he drank for about a week and a half. But I am so glad this is done and over with and Ky sleeps sound at night!
